Just bought my first Motorcycle! XL1200s
Hi everyone. I just bought my first bike and figured I'd join here and introduce myself. Name's Tim, I'm 19 and from upstate NY. Bike is a 1996 Harley 1200 Sporster Sport. Great shape with 6000 miles! Here's a pic:
I don't think the owner knew that it was a sport and I am hoping I got a good deal for $3500. Let me know what you think. I'm completely new to motorcycles. Took a 3 day course last weekend to get my license and did the best in the class of 12 with only 1 point deducted on my road test! This is exactly the kind of bike I was looking for, so excited to be riding it home this week!

Thanks for the responses! I just can't wait to get it back home. Definitely is a sport because the of the rear shocks and I remember seeing the fronts ones being adjustable as well.
My Thanks go out to the instructors at the New York State Motorcycle Safety School, they were some awesome instructors to work with and taught me so much. This was the only motorcycle I've ridden besides the 125cc bikes they supply at the course. When I got on this harley I did everything the same and saved myself from any embarrassment.
Found two nice articles on this bike, anyone interested may take a look:
