Default Big Bore Sportys

Any thoughts or opinions on these massive bore kits for sportsters that they're selling like the 89"+ kits?

Yep you can go big with a sporty....up to 103" that I know of.

But be ready to spend $5000 to $7000, maybe more to get it right. Some guys have $7000 plus in their builds and they still ain't right.

The best luck are with 88" and less builds.

If your going to go big, research, research, reseach.....

Here is a great place for builds...... http://www.nrhsperformance.com/

There are a number of members on here who have gone that route and seem to be quite happy with them.

Hmmm....I guess I'm thinking a simple stage 1 and cams would get you a lot further than one of these. Especially for the money. Is that correct?

Not even close, You can pull over 100hp and 100ftlbs with the right 1250 kit. A good amount more with a 88" & up kits.
On Sportsters, cams are useless with out matching head work.

Big difference between the Sportster Motor and A BT (big twin) motor.

Yeah, the 110s are BT kits...and what all needs to be done to get this 100 hp and 100 ftlbs out of a 1250 kit, or is it all bolt on mostly and a tuned carb?
