Default V&H Sideshots - advice needed

Hi, can anyone tell me if the sideshots on an Iron exend out sideways much further than the original pipes? I love the sideshots but am only 5ft with no leg room to spare & am concerned that I'm going to get a burnt leg when at a standstill! Staggered shortshots might work but I really want the sideshots...

I have the side shots on my nightster...(i love it!) and I'm also 5ft tall. I have had no issues with burning my leg on them.
