Guys, I'm new to the forum.

I am doing my 5000mi service and currently changing the oil. I ran the bike for a minute then pulled the drain plug. I can only get a little more than a quart out of it. I even pulled the plug wires and cranked it over a couple times but no more is coming out.

What am I doing wrong? Was it just low to begin with?

 

You drained the primary.

Google sporster oil change. Now you need to refill the primary aswell.........

 

The engine oil drain plug is the plastic stopper in the end of the rubber hose. If you unscrewed a plug then that was the primary
