Default Front end vibrating when brake squeezed??

I'm just curious because I recently got into an accident and am not sure if this was the case with my bike before the accident.

But when I squeeze the brakes at a stop, i can feel a vibration like something's loose in the front end, but when I don't, the bike feels perfect, no weird vibrations and when moving it's straight and steady as a arrow.

I ride a 05 so it's rubber-mounted.

Have you checked thew "fall away" in the front end? Could be a tad loose. Most, if not all, Sportsters will vibrate with the front brake applied at a stop.
Did you use a dial indicator to check the flatness on your rotor?

no I didn't get to check this, i just changed the forks myself. hmm, I think i'll bring have a mechanic check it out. but if most sportsters will vibrate, guess it's probably fine. LOL

thanks people!

You might want to check your motor mounts, if one is loose or dammaged, you may notice more vibration with the brakes applied. Same as if you have a bad motor mount on a front wheel drive car.

ok i will take a look at the mounts. any other way of telling? might it vibrate without the brakes squeezed? and is this vibration a bit safety issue?

i noticed this after the first few days of riding. There is a small increase of vibration at stand still with the brakes on, im guessing its to do with more contact with the vibrating bike through the calipers... maybe?
