From what I have read and seen there is a ctalytic converter in front pipe of my 06 883c. Can this be removed? Any help or suggestions?

From what I know there is no cats on a 2006. I know my 2007 1200 did not have any cats. On the newer big tiwns there is a cat in the front head pipe, but not ever sure if the new sportys have them?

Sportsters have not had catalytics added yet. That is only for the Big Twins so far.

My 2002 1200 has cats. They climb on top of the seat when I'm not around and leave paw prints... Damn cats...

:P

There NO catalytic converters in ANY sportster models up to and including the 2012 model year*.

*Except apparently for California and International models, this is new information to me as of this thread (see pics later which clearly show a cat in the pipes).

Ok if it's not a cat then what is it? rear pipe doesn't have this and it's stamped right on the side catalyst and some legal mumbo jumbo.

If anyone can tell me how to post pictures I'll be glad to try. I don't know if I can get a picture of inside pipe but I can what is stamped on the pipes. Just trying to learn since this is my first Harley. And whatever it is looks awful restrictive. Thanks for any help.
