I didn't cut mine down simply because I wanted to keep the turns further out from the bright headlight so ding dongs could tell I was turning, vs. the glare of the headlamp blocking the turn light. Less risk of somebody not seeing my signals seemed smarter to me, just my

I don't know if I'll cut them or not, I just don't want them to crack or bend. I like the look of keeping them out like they come. Looking forward to getting them and getting them on the bike!

I didn't cut down the Harley version. They went in the recycle bin. The shape the Harley units are cast makes it very difficult to alter them (stems are hollow), but it has been done. I trimmed the smaller version from J&P Cycle (in the link I posted) where they mate with the triple clamp. The radius was a little off so they didn't sit tight. I used a dremel and some sandpaper on a dowel. They fit OK out of the box, but I wanted them tight and I was powder coating them so I wasn't concerned about messing with them.
I had some spacers powdered and put them between the mounts and the turnsignal housings to help with the light wash-out issue. Harley's put the signals at about 16 1/2" center to center. Mine are about 13 1/2". By the way, my black headlight isn't factory, but it is a 5 3/4" bulb so the diameters of the housings are about the same.

Default Front signal kit

Do you have any pictures of the signals relocated on your nightster? I'm moving mine along with replacing the Handel bars with drag bars. If if you have any suggestions or input it would be much appreciated. I think I'm going to buy the JPCycles kit although I can't find them in black.

Before you order. Def check out the fork mount turns from Joker Machine. Not to mention Arlen Ness surprisingly has some decent signals...
