PappyG

Thanks for that info. Gives me a good starting point for windshields. Also, do you still look over it easily with the 9" windshield?

Sorry it took so long to reply. Yes, still below my nose it seems. I would probably get even lesee air turbulence with the 12" but don;t want to have too high a windshield, may not look right with the fairing..... I call it my alley glide. not a grown up street glide.....LOL

Default Tail Light / License plate relocate

So, would like to see if anyone has fitted a new taillight assembly that has the license plate below the taillight. I want to do away with that pop up plate look. Would a DYNA assembly fit? I saw some led sets at the dealer that looked like it would fit the shape of fender but not sure.

HAs anyone replaced their Scorcher 11 tires yet? If yes, what tires did you get. I'm contemplating replacing the Scorchers with the new Bridgestone Battlecruise H50 tires.

I have Avon Storm tyres on mine, although I believe they are succeed by Cobra Chromes now. I have Avon tyres on all my bikes!

Hi Graham, nice to see you posting.

The last time I checked the Avon Cobras are not available for the stock Superlow rims.

I have gone for the Avon Spirit ST that Avon themselves claim is better in the wet than the Cobra.

Hi Andy, glad to be back after a health set-back. Not fit to ride yet unfortunately. Thanks for the Avon update, things are plainly changing quickly!

Glad to find this thread today, it’s taken a while to read the whole thing.

My wife is an experienced ride, but she’s also tiny just 5’ tall. Her last bike was a Softail Deluxe that she put 45K miles on. But our long distance riding days are over, and we live right in the middle of some great riding. We talked about fixing up a Honda Shadow my brother has, but once you have a Harley ....

Thursday we spent the day driving to a dealer in NW Arkansas that had a 883 Superlow in stock. She liked it but their prices were way too high. So I shopped around online for the best combination of newest, low miles, and best price. Ended up buying this 2014 and it’s being shipped here.

a couple of questions.

has anyone tried Viking bags?

winshields, she wants something sporty looking. I want something that clamps to the forks, NOT a handlebar mount. Any suggestions?
