Nice looking bike! So did you trade in your Iron for this 48, or is this a new purchase?

Thanks. It was a trade-in on my Iron that had 500 miles.

I think my first post on these boards last summer was about how I saw a 48 and thought it looked cool. However, I was a scooter rider that knew very little about HDs. I then went though the Iron-Nightster-48 decision process. I probably posted about that too. Anyway, I test-rode them all and I could not decide between the 48 and Iron. Went with the Iron, because I was more comfortable on it on the 10 minute test-rides, but I always wanted the 48.

If you don't mind sharing, what did you get for your Iron for a trade in and how much did you get the 48 for?

Nope. The dealer knew that I wanted that 48 and that a deal was going to get done before I left. $10.9K for the 48 and $6.5K for the Iron trade-in.

I've had disappointments in life, but I'm happy as can be tonight with what is in my garage.
