Default Power inverter?

So I'll be riding/backpacking for about a week with a friend soon. We both have Scala Riders and were looking for a solution to charge them and our phones. I was looking a female 12V connector:
http://www.amazon.com/Deltran-081-00...QO/ref=lh_ni_t

I'm debating on if I should just get a car charger for the phone/scala riders/battery charger or if the sportster could handle a tiny power inverter this this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Roadpro-RPPI-1...816456&sr=8-20

Going the inverter route would save money if it'd work without draining the battery. I'd only use it while we were riding or the engine was at least running. I have a digital multimeter so I could order everything and then check to see if it's draining the battery but I don't want to spend the money if it isn't going to work and time is running out!

I tried searching around but could only find threads for the touring models. If anyone knows of a better solution, let me know!

I just bring the charger and ask the waitress to plug it in for me while I'm eating. I've done this at campground entrance stations also.
My chatter box is usually good for 4-5 days without a recharge.

I also saw some solar chargers in REI. I might get one of those for multiple day kayaking trips.

With the cigarette lighter adapter (above) and a cigarette/USB power plug you're all set to recharge/power virtually any USB device. (I just picked a random link for the USB adapter source)

This is what I use.

It's not going to drain your battery unless you leave it plugged in for weeks.

Forget the inverter, it's bulky and power inefficient.

Problem being the scala riders are not usb, and nor is the battery charger.

My Scala Rider G4 and phone are both (micro) USB. It just takes a USB-A to micro USB adapter cable.

We use the Q2 Pro

I found somewhere that the EFI sportsters are 32amp and if the bike is at 13V then that puts it at 416watts. So I guess it's now just an issue of how much juice the EFI system and lights use. I may just go for it and keep an eye out for the battery light. Can anyone confirm these numbers for an '07 XL1200C??

Edit: 14V meaning it's 448watts.

First off, sorry for the double post and the old bump. However, I didn't want to be 'that guy' who figures out his problem and never posts the solution. So here is to all of you who use the search button and might stumble upon this post with the same question:

I realized I had an older 400watt power inverter so I didn't order one. With everything hooked up and a Scala Rider charging (or my phone charging) everything seemed to be okay. I didn't measure the amps drawn from the inverter but the battery light did not come on. Even though it's a 400watt inverter I don't plan on using anywhere near that much and I don't think the bike could handle it. So there is your answer! If anyone is SUPER INTERESTED in knowing the amps from the inverter circuit let me know and I'll check it for you (after it stops raining).

Glad you worked it out, but I just don't get carrying around a inefficient and bulky AC power inverter, when you could use one of THESE for the Scala Q2 and a similar for the phone.

Cost. I would have had to buy a car charger for the Q2s, a usb car charger, and a AA car charger. This solution only cost me ~$9.
