What problem sportypig had.
My clutch started slipping. I ordered Energy One. Meanwhile I replaced the spring plate with friction plate. Guess what, Energy One set is still in my garage.

one thing about the Barnett or energy one extra plate kit is it gets rid of the stock riveted plate that is sure to grenade on you soon or later.

That's the main reason I wanna go with the barnett but I heard that the longevity is better with the harley clutch is that true.

As I mentioned in my previous post, the riveted spring plate can be replaced with disks. I'm currently running stock clutch with one additional friction plate.

hi there and where do you get the additional friction plates ?? do you need to order an entire clutch pack from the stealer just for a couple of plates ?????

im in need or the clutch replacement also and am also trying too decide between energy one and a S eagle clutch pack .

if i can just do a a standard pack and change out the riveted plate that would be great

I got it from a friend, methinks he bought a bunch from J&PCycles. You need two steel plates and one friction plate. I saw one smartass in another forum claimed the clutch will not work properly with such an upgrade because the clutch spring goes out of its designed working range. I measured the thickness of the spring plate depressed and released. When released it's thicker than three additional plates, when depressed it is thinner than three additional plates. Meaning the spring will pressurize the pack just fine, actually even better.
Be prepared to have a snappier clutch, you have to be more precise with your left hand.

J&P parts 630-573 and 630-571, methinks. But verify the fitment before buying.

I have the SE clutch in my bike and love it! It gets rid of the spring plate and has an extra disk as well. The cost is not bad and its so much better than stock.
