Default 1975 XLCH Sportster desperately need shocks please help

Hello I am gearing up to ride my bike from northern Alberta to southern California and I desperately need shocks for my bike. Is there anyone in Alberta who can help! Looking for 14". Thanks for taking the time to read my post!

Best regards,
Laryssa

If you have $150.00 or so look for some take off big twin air shocks on eBay or kijiji, those will give you an awesome ride at a bargain price.
If you don't have $150.00 I have a set of 12" stock shocks off my 07 Roadster I could donate to the cause.
You will have to check if the 07 shocks will fit your bike or not, I'm not sure on that.
I'm in the Edmonton area.

Thank you so much for the quick response! I bought 12" big twin shocks. They didn't work there was no clearance between fender and tire once I put them on.

Don't know if your a welder or know one but I raised a dirt bike 2" once by welding new shock mounts to the swing arm just in front of the stock mounts, worked great and withstood years of punishment.

The shocks on the '07 are the same except the mounting holes are larger --- go to hardware store and buy sleeves that fit 07 shock and bolts on '75

Just in case you might not know you will have to adjust the chain and the bike will handle different being 2" higher

And welcome to the forum
