Default rear shocks replacement 1994 XLH

hello there...

new in the forum.

i want to change my rear shocks to a newer ones.

a friend of mine has an 48 shocks. this is the model 54550-10/g5f22-00 .

will it feet my 1994 sportster ?

I think anything after 1979 is in the "new" location and are interchangeable. Stock shocks will still ride bad, if your going to make a change you would be much better to find a set of used big twin air shocks, they will give you a vastly superior ride compared to any stock Sportster shock and can be found for $50.00 to $100.00.

I'd keep the stock ride height and lean angle with your 13" shocks. I think the 48 has shorter shocks, worse ride and less lean angle. The Roadsters are all 13" shocks I believe.
