New Bars and Signal Re-location
Brothers-
I just got off the phone with the HD service shop - they want 4.5 hours of labor to change my bars from stock to drag and to re-locate my signals to my fork... keep in mind that they made no mention of changine cables, so I amssuming it is just a straight bar swap...
It this absurd or should I swallow my pride?
P.S. I know I can find someone (almost anyone) else to do this for half the price but I ordered the parts thru the dealership so my bike and the parts are already there awaiting my approval.

I know youre right but I'm not too mechanically inclined and the bike could be ready to ride when I'm out of work one of these days. The head mechanic also said the gas tank has to come off for the signal relocation... WTF? I don't want to get in over my head for my first mod but $400.00 worth of labor for handlebars.... I just watched a guy on youtube do it in 14 minutes lol

I've swapped my bars 4 times in the past 4 months...it's that easy. $400 is ridiculous. You're talking 12 bolts total, maybe 2 more. And the signal relocation can be done in 10 minutes if you use the Joker Machine mounts - you don't even have to disassemble anything on the forks.
First time I did my bars took 1.5 hours. I do it in 30 minutes now. That means the dealer is looking to charge you something like $200/hr if it takes them 2 hours. No way.
