yes, but so can dirty contacts, loose contacts, dirty/failing sensors, dirty air cleaner elements, etc...

air, fuel, and spark: keep those guys clean and in good order.

Air:
inspect and if needed, clean/replace air filter element. oil and debris can reduce the optimal air flow.
fuel:
most will say that modern gas has all the detergents needed but, run some seafom or startron through every now and then. since you have a 2013 efi... that's kinda where it ends unless you have pump issues, which you more than likely do not.
spark:
check all connections and ground points. keep battery on some sort of charge with a battery tender being preferred. check you bike, in front of the battery area for an sae charging lead:

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...ignorance.html

if there is one there, grab a tender and use that lead to charge you bike when you aren't on it and to keep your battery healthy.

if there is NOT one there. you can get a lead cheap:
https://www.amazon.com/2-Pin-Battery...e+battery+lead

or get one with an indicator that tell you you are low and need a charge/have an issue:
http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...arge-indicator

a tender jr is all you need and they have long cables...

If the battery is weak due to a week charging system then I would say yes due to a weakened ignition. If the battery is weak but the charging system is good then I would say no.

That's old school rule of thought. EFI bikes need a good battery to run properly. A weak battery will cause a miss or hesitation at cruising speeds.
The bike may start but can run rough.

Yikes. At least there is some advantage to a carb'ed unit!

Tons of advantages, no need for tuners, old school gallop, no evil computer....

Perhaps, in a backward retro sort of way! Nothing to crow about though!

It is true that an EFI bike can be more sensitive to voltage drop than carb bikes, however if your bike is not performaing right it suggest something else is the cause. A good place to start is with the simple things, such as the connections at BOTH ends of both main battery cables.
