I just bought some chrome rims off ebay and one of them was a 19 inch rim and I should have gotten a 21 inch rim (have a 13 sportster). Will putting the 19 inch rim on with a new tire affect anything? Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, the bikes handling in the corners and on the twisties will be much better with the fatter 19" 100mm tire, and you'll likely get 3x more mileage from the fatter tire than the skinny 21".
I changed mine to the 19" several years ago and would never go back.
Thanks for the responses, and yes it is a 72- I had to order a tire from my local dealer so will be putting it on once it gets in- will just leave the front spoke wheel on for the time being.

I've a 21' for sale in the florida crew classfies.
How's that front fender gonna look when you put a shorter wheel under it? You might want to think about that. Also, your fender mounting brackets may rub the sides of the fatter 19" tire.

Unless the 72's fender is narrower than a standard Sporty fender, it won't rub and the overall diameter of the wheel and mounted tire is less than 1/4" difference. The 19" tire has a taller sidewall.

Yea, unless the fender is different this won't be an issue. Switched my 04 custom to a 19, no problems/

harley's website says the 19 inch thunderstar wheel fits my 2013 seventy two, so rubbing shouldn't be a problem I wouldn't think.
