Default Questions for Power Vision owners

I am using the x14 ied's and am still getting low speed surging, which is getting very annoying Will the Power Vision absolutely cure this? Do I just remove the x14ied's and be all set to flash with the tuner?I just want the bike to run smooth. I am sure it is not a issue of running the RPM's too low.

I would recommend getting one, anytime your running off of a actual map verses a add on device is better.
I have one and love it!

Cant really say it removed it because I never had a problem.
I bought the PV when I did the 1200 upgrade, but I have
never had a surge problem even when it was a 883 running the
Stage 1 download.
I would say it would correct your problem, besides you would
have the ability to try different maps, and or settings till it
went away.

I want to piggy back on this thread with another question or two or five.

- Do most PV users keep the device attached while riding?
- If yes - does this then allow a sort of auto-tune feature like the old module would do for a PCV?
- How hard is it to actually tune the bike once you hook up the PV? (i have read the DynoJet manual for the PV, but it just shows how to flash and such).
- Do you have to be a fueling genius to make "useful" tuning changes to a map?

No yo don't have to keep it mounted, yes it has a record feature and you don't have to be a genius, it offers basic or pro modes also.

The PV or the TTS is WORLDS BETTER than any x14ied or FuelPak or Cobra yadi-yadi.

A true flash tuner is all that should be used, not something that rides on the bike with you.

I had tons of issues with the low RPM surging and missing, i bought the V&H fuel-pak, that did crap, the Xiedsi bought next did help it alot, but when i went to the PV...it is GONE, NO sugring or missing feeling, almost NO decel popping, and now with the new Auto Tune download for the PV, ive fine tuned it and its even better...the PV is the best money i've spent on this bike so far.

Enough said... talk to anyone owns a PV you'll hear the same. Everything else is just a band-aid, the PV actually has the ability to make your bike run like you should. It will require some technical ability to reap all of the benefits for an ideal tune vs. just flashing a custom tune.

There's an abundance of info on how it all works with step-by-step procedures. Before you dive in I HIGHLY recommend reading the following:

Oh... my bike had the low speed surge, after precision tuning with the PV its gone. I also picked up a couple HP (dyno proven) over the canned tune, better fuel mileage, lower engine temps, and an overall smoother better running engine.
