high speed wobble

I've only ridden three different Sportsters since I've been riding but have experienced the same issue around those speeds. Nothing too crazy but enough to get your attention and slow down. I just assumed it was due to the smaller size of the bike. Never experienced it on a dyna, softtail or touring bike.

Tires, balance, wheel bearings, neck bearings, do you have a windshield? Have you removed the front fender? Fork brace?
Should not have a wobble or headshake at 100.

You can't push thorough, it will intensify. I had this wobble, in particular when switching from fourth to fifth at over 100 MPH. Once I tried to fight it and lost my cell phone - it literally flew out of my pocket. After trying everything the only thing that worked was loosening the drive belt.

Everything has to be just right when travelling at those sorts of speed. The replies so far have covered the usual stuff.
However one thing not touched on is the effect YOU can have! If you are gripping the bars tight, against the mighty blast, you will introduce a wobble, through tension in your arms. Once you have checked the things already mentioned, try again, but get yourself down and out of the slip-stream as much as possible, also relax your grip on the bars a little. If it goes away you have identified the cause!
