My stage one Nightster averages 45 MPG.. so, sounds about right. It also seems like I get better mileage when I'm getting on it ratherthan when I am just cruising around.

I'm getting about the same out of my '07 XLC.

It sucks because I had gotten used to getting 60 mpg out of my 400cc Honda. Still, it's better gas mileage than my Mercury Mariner hybrid.

Yeah, also miss the 67 MPG / 250 miles per tank on my previous bike, a Honda Shadow 750. But it didnt run like a scalded dog like my 1200 XL Custom. Getting 40-44 MPG / 155 miles per tank. Just had the 1000 mile service done by an Indy and went with AMSOIL 20-50 in engine and tranny...

yea. i had an 08 vstar 1100 for a few years prior to buying my custom. The difference in power is huge. The sporty is a lot more bike, and with the Sundowner, its just as comfy, and handles better.
