Default Copper Exhaust Gaskets - Awesome!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share with you my recent experience using copper exhaust gaskets on my 2002 883C.

After putting torque cones, that didn't fit with my stock exhaust gaskets, I tried Screaming Eagle ones that didn't work either (and created a lot of engine noise!). I found these guys and they worked like a charm. Not only they are cheap, they came with nice nuts, but they sealed the exhaust like never before. The gaskets get crushed when tightening the bolts.

Highly recommend it!

Vincent

Glad to hear they work for you but how are they better than othet gaskets when you don't have torque cones. I think all exhaust gaskets are suppose to be crushed when tightened down, not 100% sure though

What i like about copper gaskets is you can use them over again, just take a propane torch heat them good and hot then let cool, they will swell right back up.

As far as my technical skills go (read: not very far), both the stock and Screaming Eagle Gaskets are made of mesh, which to me doesn't guarantee for perfect sealing.

The copper one are completely solid. When you tighten the bolts, you can almost feel the exhaust head perfectly hugging the cylinder port :-)
