Default How many miles is to many?

Don't have a lot of experience with the sportster model, looking at an 06 883 with 20,000 miles. Bike had good maintanence, any thing to be concerned with that kind of mileage? Need something for the Kids.

What's the price on it? I'd look for something with less but that's not a high number.

That seems to be around the going rate. If maintenance was kept up i would think you shouldn't have many problems. The bike is probably getting to the point where its going to need some things replaced, brakes, belt, battery, etc. Might be something to think about.

no such thing as to many miles, the real crime is a bike with "low" miles.
at the end of the day miles are just memories from the road.

Default The more the merrier

I have an '07 coming up on 30K. The only thing I've replaced so far are the tires. Running better than ever.

Ride Safe,

I have a 1999 that I put 24K on in a year. The only thing it needed was wear items and a belt. Mind you, that was the original belt so it was over 10 years old. That might have had something to do with it. For the most part, the only thing you MIGHT want to look at is the rocker box gaskets. Sometimes they can develop leaks but that should be easy to spot and is a pretty simple and painless repair if necessary.

Dude it's an 06. That's less than 3K miles a year.....If it has been properly maintained I wouldn't be concerned at all.
