Lower torque in 2014 Sportster models?

If you'll permit me, I'll use my wife's two Saturns as an analogy. She first had a 94 with the 1.9 litre four valve engine and it had 127 hp. Later she bought a 97 which had 125 hp but 4 more foot pounds of torque. That extra 4 foot pounds of torque felt like a lot more.

Maybe Harley went for more of a perceived increase in performance,who knows. If as Mr. Brown stated they spread the torque band they could achieve exactly that. Shallower cam profiles would do it
