Question 2004 iron 883 forward controls and bars

Just picked up an 883 for a decent deal. It's my first harley. Before this I was riding an old 1980 kz440. It's a good step up, not too much bigger/heavier.

It already has vance and hines exhaust on it, think that may be the only modification from stock, not sure... I'm not that tall, 5'10, but I'm all legs and arms so I was wondering how many of you in the same situation have converted over to forward controls from these mid controls. What brand do you recommend?

and anyone with long arm recommend a bar? I dont want huge ape hangers but something high would be nice. I just want something comfortable that wont compromise handling.

I'm 6' 2" with forwards and 12" mini apes. I've ridden 10 hours in a day and never been more comfortable. Legs feel good, wrists are no problem. Just a nice set up all around.

Congratz on the new ride. Post up a pic.

This might be close, 05 Roadster 1200 with forwards, for comparison.

Are you sure those aren't stock head pipes with holes drilled in the heat shields and a set of slip-on mufflers from Vance & Hines?

Not sure, didn't have the receipt and the previous-previous owner put them on. Looks just like that picture though.... Does this mean I wont have any clearance issues?
