Question Fuel Pak

I have a 2013 Iron and I'm going to install a set of VH Shortshots - Do I really need to install a Fuel Pak to get the best out of the bike with this set of pipes?

the unwritten rule is:

if you do an intake OR exhaust you can do without fuel management.
if you do an intake AND exhaust you need something.

If you run the stock air cleaner you don't need it but you will have some slight decel popping!Any thing other then the stock air cleaner you will need it because you will be too lean.As for getting the most out of the pipes performance wise it doesn't matter much because they are just loud and look cool but thats it,I didnt notice really anything other then the noise over my stock pipes and I have a fuel pak and outlaw air cleaner!

For just pipes I would get xieds. At least help with decel pop a tad and richen the bike a little. As I understand the rule slip on for no fuel management and fuel management if full exhaust. If you get stage 1 air cleaner then save up and get a good tuner. The extra 200 bucks is well spent as opposed to the fuel pack.
