My local dealer has a new 2013 candy orange iron, i was wondering what would be a good price on this bike, other dealers in the area are discounting there 2013 bikes. What would be a good out the door price cash.
Cash makes no difference as dealers make money off of financing. I'd say MSRP with everything included (tax, title, reg, set up, freight, doc fee) out the door would be sweet around here.
On a 2013 I would never pay MSRP. My sister in law bought a 2013 883 Superlow in the spring of this year and got about 1000 off MSRP, no freight or setup and free labor on the install of a windshield and engine guards.
I don't know about the 883 Iron but that may give you some comparison.
Last year, I bought my FXDC for about MSRP and the salesman told me that such a deal was unusual there. It was a good time to buy, because the end of the riding season was near and they wanted to move out what was left of the '12s.
Purchased a 2013 48 at the end of July for 10% off MSRP, no freight, no doc fee, no setup, 1000 mile service free @ 2.99 financed. Start there and see what they say. They should be able to do all that except the fi rate, which was a limited time offer from the bank.

also the dealership will be just as likely to throw in some cash towards accessories. you can easily get them to include a $500-$1000 gift card to purchase HD stuff. the way they see if they are getting the money right back anyways.
Knowing exactly how the HD dealership make highest profit would help planning an offer. I wish it were still cAsh days. HD makes loot off of finance and "extras" so they make out better with a "credit customer" in certain cases. Do homework, it will be worth it for the wallet. Cheers
