Default Lets see your 170 rear tire on the sporty

Guys im looking at putting a shinko 777 170 on the rear of my iron to get rid off that stock hard piece of s@#T that is on now but ill like to see some pics please, if you have a 170 lets see it....

I know 2004 and up sportster are pretty much the same on the frame. I don't know about a 03. But I don't see you having a problem. I used all stock parts, except for I have shorter shocks on my 2006.

I am running KromeWerks 2" rise drag bars & I flipped them.
The front is dropped 3/4 in the triple clamps & I have SM adjustable fork caps which I think raised it back up 1/2"
The rear is a set 11" Paucho rigid struts & I have a lowering kit to kick the angle of the struts a little more. It's about the equvelent of having a 10" strut. I lowered the fender on the frame struts to make it look lower & have the fender hug the tire.

The Shinko 777 rides/handles much better than the Dunlops. I have about 4k on them now.

Yeah. I'm using the stock mag wheel. Some people say u shouldn't. That you should get a wider rim. But I've run it for 1000 miles now without issues
