Default Rear fender chop & brake/turn/sigal module

I am going to chop my rear fender on my 2005 Sportster Custom. Ordered the kit to hopefully delete my big rear brake light, part number 69463-06. Went to wire it up and it just runs through the big light on the back. How do I delete the big tail light and just run it through the rear signals?

I really need to figure this out. How are you guys with chopped fenders running your turn/brake/running lights through the factory rear turn signals and removing the factory brake/running light attached to fender?

If you run your turn signals as usual and than connect the brake light to both. Be aware that if you have a single element light base you need to switch it to a duel element or the turn signal lamps will just stay on and your turn signals wont work. It is a PIA to figure out took me awhile. check your scmatic and that will tel you what whire goes to what function. If the turn signal become your brake light you will need to switch them to a red color.

Did you buy the HD kit or wired them yourself?
