Had the battery load tested at an indy. Tested good. Over 400cca. So with a reading (using a voltmeter) of 9v when starting do you think the starter might be going out

I dont trust the load testers. Several weeks ago I had a 6 mo old battery fail to start the bike. So I put that battery and my old Harley battery on a good charger then took them in to be load tested. Both passed with flying colors but the 3 y/o HD battery wouldnt spin the bike over at all. Put the new battery in and I got an initial drop to 6-7 v but then it spun like a son of a gun and the voltage held at 10.5v while spinning.(disconnected the coil wires so it would spin without starting) The cranking amps of the starter were well within specs also. All cables and connections have been checked and rechecked several times.
The thing I have noticed is when I first start it, If I bump the starter to get it past the compression stroke then try to start, it spins up fast every time. So I just keep mine on the tender and do that. So far I have never had an issue.
