Welcome and enjoy! Love my 13 1200C. I just read this on another thread not 5 minutes after reading your thread. Looks like plenty are doing it. Sounds like a pretty crude method this guy is using but I'm sure it was well worth it to him. The stock pipes were too quiet for me on my 13 1200C as well. I want 3" Pythons to replace my Cycle Shack slip ons. Good Luck!
"After hearing about it and watching a few videos about it, I decided to go ahead an punch holes in my stock exhaust pipes. Most of the videos all mention going and buying long 1/2"-3/4" drill bits. Me? I had a 12" nail(a few of them actually) and a hammer. Centered the nail in the baffle and pounded away with the hammer until she poke through. Took 10 seconds for each muffler baffle and now she sounds a bit deeper and a tiny bit louder."
