18 inch options for CVO DarkSide
I have a 2012 HD CVO Street Glide that takes a 180/55 18 rear tire and just cannot find any info on any options for a car tire.
I ran a car tire in my VN2000 a few years back and am ok with the little oddities that riding in the dark entails, but I can't find a tire. I like my low profile wheels and do not want to switch to a 17 or 16 inch wheel as finding one that matches my front is probably impossible.
Of course asking on regular HD discussion boards draws a lot of negative comments and no help. I've also went through the database over on the Darkside web site with no luck.
Any help would be apreciated.

18" dark side
I just recently did a makeover of my 2012 Limited and went to 18" wheels front and back running Avon Cobras 180/55/18 AV72's and did the 180 conversion up front. I've been running car tires since 2005 also on a VN2000 then also on the Limited in 2012. After only getting 4,000 miles on the rear I come to the conclusion that I'm going back to the ct but can not find what I want. The widest I can go is 8" on the cross section or it will hit the belt, the narrowest I've found is a 215/45/18 Dunlop SP5000 which is 8.1 section width calling for a 7" rim, with the 5.5 rim I'm thinking it may pull the section width in to 8". It has the dia. I am looking for also. For now I went back to my 16" wheel which has a Yoko Avid Ascend on it half worn from last year with 14,000 miles on it. The mileage ratiing is low and I've ran the SP5000 before and got 17,000 out of them which is about what I run a season and that suits me, but 4K is 4 tires a year and that's out ! https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...omCompare1=yes
