HARLEY: anyone still using SERT?

anyone still using SERT?
after the epa banned them, I starting looking into them an found a guy selling them "reconditioned".....for a good price. I'm looking at true duals for my '15 slim an if I pull the trigger I'll need a tuner...the sert will also tune for a cam change if I do that later unlike the FP3. Should I just forget the sert an move on to a newer tuner? guess I'm kinda guilty of chasing a good deal since it saves money to put to my next mod.

looks like I'm not going to try it..I picked up a set of V&H duals for my slim today from a ind dealer that removed them for a fatboy low the took on trade...they removed them an installed stock pipes to sell... The pipes are in excellent condition an I got them for $350 an $350 for a FP3. I almost went with the TTS for another 85 bucks but then I'd hand to go through the tuning process so I took the easy way out...if I ever do cams I'll regret it but I'll burn that bridge when I get there.

From what i read, not as good an option as TTS, but might be worth trying before moving on to another tuner when you get there.

I have one of the old SERT's and the TTS update and the free download is compatible. However, it didn't give me anything I didn't already have for my '04 88TC. But I like it once I learned how to tune with it. I've done a couple MAPs. I use one for two up touring and another for solo, unloaded riding. You can tune, do a Data run, and adjust out any Knock Retard, or change the timing or anything else. You will need an older laptop with a serial port in order to do any data runs though. E-bay for under $100 will get you a Dell D630 with what you need.
