TTS: PE mode for J1850 Sportsters ?

PE mode for J1850 Sportsters ?
Hello experts, I'm a 'novice' Mastertune user. I have the dual blue box used for my 2013 FLS Slim
and my 2013 XL883N Iron.
Background: 883->1250cc jug/heads/cam change. Since this a 2013, it uses the J1850 interface.
Starting CAL: SDX176-03-A1.MT9
After running CamTune, I've been using VTune3 and Flight Recorder with what I think are good results.
As we know, setting up the recording process has you change the PE Mode rpm to 10,000rpm, then
setting it to 'original' upon the 'Final' flash-to-ECM.
So here's the question. For the XL Sportsters pre-2014, all of the CAL files I've looked at already
have the PE Mode RPM ECM Constant set to 10,000rpm. Is PE Mode even used for these models?
If so, how to 'trigger' it ? Should I set the Constant 'PE Mode RPM' to something more reasonable like
4,500rpm ?
More background:
Started with SDX176-03-A1.MT9 cal for 2013 XL.
ECM Tuning Constants
PE TPS Enable 100.9%
PE TPS Disable 100.0%
PE Mode Rpm 10,000
Table PE Air-Fuel Ratio: Seconds to PE AFR values all look 'normal' to me.
Table PE Spark, all values are 0.00 degrees
Thanks for any insight,
T.
and my 2013 XL883N Iron.

As I am a novice, could you offer any advice or guidance as to how
or where I might start this effort without the use of a dyno? I'm just afraid of screwing up.
Thank you again for any insight,
T.
