Back from Queen's Trip
What a great week away. 1950 miles to GA and NC and I think TN lol.
Started last Tuesday and rode 430 miles to Tifton GA by way of the dealer for a T shirt. Rode a short day Wednesday to Lagrange GA by way of Columbus GA dealer, got a shot of Richland rum at 10am offered to me by the guy who distills the liquor at the distillery - he winked and said it's 5 o clock somewhere.
Met 3 other QOTR in Lagrange, rode to Copperhead Lodge next day and met up with all the other gals. Rode the Dragon Friday morning after a couple hours ride to get there, then over to the Cherohala and back at the hotel with seconds to spare before it went dark at about 8pm. Next day a few of us rode the Warrior Woman Hwy and the Moonshiners. We had a T shirt exchange and some gifts from HD Forum Sponsors to hand out, then it was time for goodbyes.
I made it to Valdosta GA yesterday afternoon, and left at 6.30 this morning and was home by 1pm today.
Would you believe I got no rain the whole week.
I found out I really like riding on my own. You can stop as often or not as you like and for as long or short as you want. My bike behaved itself (as it should being that it's new).
The Dragon was really not as scary as it's made out to be and is quite a quick ride. The Cherohala was tiring, Moonshiners was a great road. the roads are nice to ride in GA and NC. I can't wait to be back there next month (next road trip also involves the auto train to VA).

no rules....no tutu's.
Glad you had a great trip. I am going to Ga...but up near Brunswick to an Air Force museum, the over to Irwinville, see the site where the Confederate President was captured and tour a Civil War museum. Probably not as many hills as you had, but a ride is a ride.
Welcome home.

You probably deserved it Tampa Fatboy !!
Yes Pat it's a quick trip, though I took 2 and a half days getting there because I met up with some of the girls in Lagrange, but a day and a half getting home.
