I am just thinking about a ride up to Palatka. Stop into the hotel
where the rally will be and have lunch. Some of the others have already checked
out the place, but I did not see an invite.
Any who.....I am thinking of riding up there this coming Saturday. Anyone in
the local area that might want to join up and ride just for the heck of it...post up. Anyone from north (I know Jerry is
up in the mountains or still in the shop) or west want to see where the rally will be..let it be known.
I of course, will defer any ride due to Barbara's condition....which as of this moment is OK!!!
Just something to mull over...like every other ride, if I have to ride alone, it is still a ride.

I can't do the ride next Sat, but can do it the next day, Sun, or another weekend. I'm familiar with the location, its on Rte 17 at the end of the bridge over the St Johns River in downtown Palatka. Never had a reason to stop there, but looks okay. I know a few alternate routes to Palatka besides the usual Rte 100 or 206 to 207.

Glad to hear you're back on the road & Barbara is doing well.

 

Wish I could join you but it's a long ride for one day, however do check out Woodpeckers BBQ in Green Cove Springs about half an hour from Palatka.

 

Sunday could be do-able. If no one wants to go on Saturday, I don't mind
changing the day.

Unfortunately I will not be able to ride this weekend to join you on your trip to the Palatka hotel. I've got a lot going on and just can't break away.

 

Im up in the mountains and will not be in Florida until Saturday or Sunday. Having too much fun to head home.

I am thinking Sunday. Daytona FB mentioned he might go....so Sunday it is. I will try to be at Destination Daytona in front of saints and sinners pub at 10...how ever long it takes to get to the hotel after that is when I will get there. I want to go to the Military Museum in Green Cove Springs afterwards to drop something off....and hopefully be back in Ormond Beach in time for Barbara and I to go to Mario's Restaurant.
I carry one of those FRS radios on channel nineteen. Sort of like CB radio...but smaller and handier

Well, I messed up and didn't tell my wife about the possible ride on Sun. She made plans to meet with some friends from out of town. Weather didn't look great anyway, so wth. Today, I take a look at the weekend weather report and it looks good all weekend! Damn! I'm going to try to be at S&S Sun just meet you. Probably going to be crowded because I think they're doing their Monthly Swap Meet Sunday. Wear a thong & a fireman's hat so I can find you, lol
