Default Helmet Liner

For you chaps who ride in S. Florida averaging 93 deg heat and ride daily, how often do u wash your liner?

I used to wash it maybe once every 4-5 months believe it or not.

But lately it is like MONTHLY since it stinks so badly.

Admittedly, I usually leave my helmet in the dark HOT garage instead of bring it into the house which does not help.

Do u wear the helmet daily in this heat and wash it how often??

Can't say I ever have and been here over 30 years.
Actually I don't think I've ever owned a helmet that the liner came out of.
I do change helmets every 2 years though.

I use that foamy spray carpet cleaner. I sometimes don't even take the liner out.

Yes, Resolve is good. And so are most of the store brands. But NOT REDI-WHIP!!! It's foamy, but not recommended for helmet liners.

I wipe the liner with water and a microfiber cloth after every use, and every so often and if it gets really sweaty, I remove it (easy peasy on my Schuberths) and put it in the washing machine with my wife's dainties. Air dry only!

(Said quietly and under my breath.) Doesn't mean I can't try it.

That is a PIA but well worth trying it. I have both. tho my microfiber seems water resistant.

Also not leavving the helmet in the garage after each ride but bringing it into the house where it is AC'd.

That centre panel is almost the exact shape of a period-pad panty liner... why not stick one in there to absorb the sweat?
At the end of the day, peel it out and throw it away.

ROFL!!

Guilty as charged, m'lud... i confess to a little bit of a fishing trip there.

Failed my "resist the temptation" test, sorry.

But... but... it'll be handy when you get a nose-bleed... *ducks behind sofa*

OK... in a serious note - what's the problem with washing the liner in warm soapy water then rinsing it and drying it on the line?
I mean... they are removable for cleaning, so they should make them from something cleanable. (Check any labels first, just in cases)

It might not hurt to have two of them and swap them in and out when the other is wet,
