Has anybody been to or had any first hand experience with that Standard Motorcycle Co co-op motorcycle garage over in Orlando? How is it working out? I always thought the concept was a pretty slick idea but maybe a little too hipster. I mean nobody I've ever known would ever feel the need to get his flat top or man bun trimmed and beard oiled while doing a tune up but I can see a market for work space sharing/rental for guys that may not have tools or lifts and such.

 

I haven't yet but have been meaning to ride by there an check it out. On their calendar it's showing an open house next Saturday august 4th. Might ride by to see what the place is about.

 

I was there at the end of the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride two years ago. Great concept, had tallboys in a fridge on the honor system, not quite sure why they cut hair and trim beards there, but whatever. I have pretty much all the tools I need to work on my bikes. It would be a good place to build one if you moved along on the project, or if you don't have the tools and needed to get a lot done on your bike, maybe over a month or so. Looks like they also provide service for those that want it.

 

I wish there was something similar over here in the Tampa area. I have the tools and the work space at home but it would be a good thing to join and go to, talk bikes and trade ideas.
