Anyone know if "Park Ave" in Winter Park has all their lights up yet?

Haven't made it out there yet (Was in Cape Coral for Thanksgiving), but they usually do. Should be getting the ice rink set up too. Local news says their tree lighting is on Dec 7.

 

Ok mate, now I gutta set you straight the way I am setting everyone else around here straight.

1stly, I wuz born and brought up in Bean Town. Been to Madawaska MANY times, even have several stones up there (bricks/plaques) with 'me name on it.

Bahabah......bin there many times. LOVE the little town HOULTON especially Irvings Diner/Gas Stop b4 going into CA.

Used to go camping in Agassiz Village and MANY MANY times in Sebago State Park (Casco Rte 302 by "Evans Notch") area, etc.....I say all of this bcs, as GORGEOUS the state is, GREAT woods and all, YES YOU FREEZE UR NUTs OFF! Super major shrinkage. But thing is, Maine is going far left. (Tsk, tsk, tsk.) I think they are going to catch up wtih MASS b4 u know it.

So, I just know u will be moving down here soon. So there is no need for me to send you a plane tx. You need a U-Haul truck. On the way down, you can swing by Winter Park and let me know if the lights are up. Ok? Sound good? GREAT!

When you get to Winter Park, do a "J F STOP". LOL I so funi! (Ok maybe not so much.)

You are correct @BuzzCap7 My state has swung so hard and far to the left it is some scary. Our new governor is a "spend it if you got it" type. She has hired 14 people to help her select her cabinet. (Spend, spend.) My brother resides on the west coast and I go there for a couple months in the winter. I'll keep my place on the lake and live there in the summer and travel around the country during the winter. Not really wanting to put any roots down in Florida. Did it once and Broward County did this country boy in. To fast. Got friends up in St. Augustine but have not been able to find them. People my age don't really take to social media and landlines are a thing of the past.

 

Hopefully u can find ur friends. Maybe on facebook?

My kids (like everyone else now) have their own numbers for life.

Like you, I am up in age, waaaaaay north of 50. Not 50. Way north of 50. Heck, any further north I would be in Maine which means I will need to shoot myself. LOL!!!!

I only got on recently and am almost never there. And when I am, it is likely for 5 minutes and then I am gone.

Personally really can't stand it.

Will be in Winter Park tomorrow night. Eating at Four Rivers BBQ or something like that. EXCELLENT BBQ.

We all should get together sometime. That would be so cool.

Wish I knew u b4. I have gone thru Maine MANY times! 1 outstanding time, early AM going north on I-95 way up there and the freaking smell of PINE was PHENOMENAL!!!!!! NEVER forgot that!!!! Wicked GREAT SMELL!
