Blake Vincent The problem was, Jerry just disappeared in thin air and Bubba was thinking the worse. Bubba was a little ahead of Jerry but still had him in his mirror. When Bubba looked back after almost getting run over by an 18 wheeler Jerry was gone. Bubba has been searching for him since 3 am Central time and is still searching for him. Cell phone service is very limited and I have not been able to get ahold of dad to let him know the good news.

Hate to hear that he's searching still, and phone service is so spotty, but honored to have him riding with our friend. You folks need anything... just say the word. Fantastic. Thank you.

Had a little scare this morning, Bubba's son contacted me through FB discussions spot thread. They got separated about 4:00 AM according to Spot. He could see Jerry's light in his mirror, a Semi came up on Bubba real fast with high beams on and nearly blew him off the road. When he looked back he could no longer see Jerry. Bubba was thinking the worst and had contacted Whitehorse Police. Looks like everything is alright. Jerry stopped due to heavy rain Trying to get info to Bubba now. Bubba must be one hell of a guy, go to Spot and look at the tracks he's been making since 4:00 AM trying to find Jerry.

 

Thanks for the great news updates fellas. That makes me feel so much better knowing that everything's alright.

I'll ride with Bubba any day!!! That really makes me feel great inside to know that there are still people out there that really do care and will stay with a friend in need!!! That says a lot about a man. He's a great person in my book. Ride on MB and Bubba, ride on....

 

This has been a wild thread to follow. Been reading some on advrider.com as well.
I gravitate to any situation that is a challange and brings out the best in people.

Is this something that takes place every year? The 1st time it's been done?
As a guy who don't do much more than 100 miles at a pop but dreams of long rides I love it! These guys are brave, brave men of adventure. I was guessing Daytona would make a great 1st stop - whish I knew there were in town cause I would have gone up to check out the bikes and chat with the riders.

Looks like Bubba is in Jakes Corner. Is Jerry there also? Been reading the updates, but just trying to put it all together.
