Nope...Extended and stayed another tour. DEROSed the end of August of 68
I was flying guns when Tet of 68 rolled around. Had a fire team over at Bein Hoa and was killing VC right at the base of the tower at Bein Hoa Airbase.
We came across the river from the west and started making passes right along the active runway....had troops in the open and running everywhere like chickens.
I spent all day there the opening day of TET, working the airfield then moving east to downtown Bein Hoa and east out Hi-way 4 out towards Xuan Loc and Black Horse. I have no way of knowing how many NVA/VC we killed that 1st day.

Yup still morning here. Not much new. Startin a new med today. Dr says I'm borderline diabetic. I hate startin new meds. All these damn side effects. See how it goes.

Keep a close watch on'em Wayne....New Meds can cause bad things to happen to your health.

Got prescribed some crap last thurs spose to lower BP. Took one & had a sort of bad headache for 22 hrs. lol ***! Told the doc I ain't takin no more of this ****. Says come in for re-evaluation. Went yesterday. BP was fine. wtf. No more BP meds but now it's the blood sugar thing. Oh yeah & don't eat nothin that tastes good.

This gettin old ain't fer sissy's Wayne.....be serious stuff......an that blood pressure stuff is the worst...Meds can make ya black out!!....Happened to a friend of mine while on a ride...Blacked out an crashed his Street Glide. Lucky they lived thru it.

Well, kick my own *** this morning. Went out to one of the local creeks to pick up some rocks. Figured I got about 1/2 ton of them before I decided that was enough for one day. I'll just have to see how many of them move out of the truck today.
A bunch of the rocks are flat sandstone ones that I'm going to use to make a mailbox base with. Gonna act like a stone mason for a bit. Already bought a brass plate with the address on it to put on the side.
Ucan, I hope all goes well with your dad! Good to hear he is active and interactive. I think being alone contributed to my MIL's current state.
