Not roaches, that I saw anyway. Got in a firefight with a centipede once, thought a snake was coming for me and as I pulled the trigger, saw legs. Practically disintegrated it with muzzle blast, got to within a couple feet of me. Bit one of the other guys first, and he got rushed to the hospital, hand swoll up like a football. They really frowned on firing without permission, but that time nobody hassled me, and nobody joked about it.

Folks that have never been in some of these other countries would laugh at shooting a bug, but bugs over there were serious, seen more'n one guy yelling and running from a bug. But bugs were pre-school compared to those master's degree snakes...

 

I honestly planned to do a dealer run on the 1200 this morning, weather report said rain about noon, but radar shows the green mass leading edge just about touching me. Little warmer, mebbe, but it's still mid 40's, don't wanna ride home wet in that.

 

Dint you just have a show a couple days ago? Time sure flies when yer busy, tween the garden, fixin stuf that picked the worst time to crap out in my house and the daughter movin in and helping her get stuff fixed in her house to sell it (why do we buy fixups and hafta fix em for sumbody else?), I been neglecting the bikes sumptin awful. Need to get away from this place for a few days. Not sure I'd wanna do that on a sporty, though, the old bod likes that Glide. And I gotta do a brake job and replace a real hard to reach oxy sensor in the van for a trip in a few weeks... This ain't at all what I expected for retirement!

 

Outdoor thermometer said 34 this morning, I flipped it off and hopped in the truck.
