A memorial to the 2,706 Marines, of the 5th Marines Regiment, killed in Vietnam will be dedicated in Camp Pendleton on Memorial Day. The memorial was fabricated in Vermont, and was trucked to Dana Point, Ca, arriving on Tuesday 28 March. The Patriot Guard was honored to escort the 3 trucks carrying the memorial from Vermont to California. It was escorted by the Patriot Guard, with handoffs to regional Patriot Guard along the way. On 29 March, it will be escorted from Dana Point to the memorial location in Camp Pendleton.

I recognize most of those faces....I couldn't make it because of a nasty cold that's been going around. Yup, we may have warm weather in SoCal, but we still get colds.
