Leadership
Congratulations to @BelchFire ... He stepped up to the role of Deputy State Captain of Georgia!
Way to go Belch...
Speaking of... each of you can see and have witnessed the decline of our membership base. When this happens, it hurts our leadership numbers too. When ever you can, get out the word of the honor and respect we stand for. Get the word out that there is no need to ride a bike or be a veteran. All you need is respect.
The National Board of Directors have been brainstorming for resolutions to our membership base. If you have any, send me a PM of post it here. I'll take it to national leadership. The hard part is... it is not about us. Coordinate membership drives, order the tri-folds from the store. Get your business cards and pass them out every chance you can. Take part in social events and shake some hands wearing your PGR shirts and hats. The PGR is 20 years old and we need new members. So please help to get the word out.
At National, our new registrations have been going up from about 2 a week to 10 a normal day. That may not seem like a lot but it is a start. We have had months at a time with zero new members. We have been working behind the scenes to fix the National site and are winning the battle. The site was like an old car pulling a 40' trailer uphill, it just didn't have enough power and was overloaded, not anymore. The trailer is being empties of old irrelevant files and obsolete software and now is twice as fast as it was a few months ago. You RC's who submit mission will feel the difference, those who use cell phones will too.
For a long time our mission requests have been dropping. Since we started a social media group who has taken over the Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube our numbers are growing and requests are up. Nationally our mission controllers approved almost 900 missions. Take a look at the national calendar, it is growing... we need members. Each of you please, get with your state and regional leadership and ask how you can help.
Thanks to all,
-W
