Ill be running 16in carlini ape hangers soon, and ive done my research. Im not worried about doing the work myself, but i am worried about to run new brake line. I cant seem to find much info on that. Bike is a 2008 Road King Classic.

I installed 8" over brake & clutch lines with my 14" WO apes on my 13 CVO RK. They fit perfect. My guess would be go 10" over stock length for 16" bars. Hope this helps ya.

My '05 RKC with 16" Carlini's took +8" on brakes, throttle, and clutch lines and +12" on the electrical extensions. Here's a couple of pics of the slack in the cables that I had. I ran Magnum cables and Namz wiring extensions. My advice is if you do choose Magnum, have them run a 90 degree brake fitting off the master cylinder. It just flows better. I had to send mine back to them and have them change it. I hope this helps! Good luck!!

There's no money savings ordering it all from Carlini, their prices are up there on that stuff. As far as the change out, plan on replacing your stock bushings to urethane. I didn't do mine the first time and my bars moved around. Also, just take your time, especially with the electrical. Write down every color and pin number so reassembly is easy after fishing the lines through the bars. Oh yeah, and be careful with that front brake light switch!! Just ask me how I know!! LOL!! Good luck!!

I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were asking a question. The front brake light switch has a small "tip" on it that breaks off easy. It is recommended that you shim it with a piece of cardboard or something during removal of the master cylinder from the handlebars. I've never done it, BUT broke the tip off the 3rd time I changed out my bars. If that tip brakes, your brake lights don't work correctly and you must change it.....which is a REAL pain in the ***. Google it and you will find the exact steps that need to be taken to lessen the risk of breaking it. Good luck!!
