Default V&H Power Dual leak

has anyone had issues with the gaskets provided with the power duals kit?
I helped a buddy install some on his 2010 ultra this weekend but can't seem to get the front exhaust gasket to quit leaking, wondering if we should try stock exhaust gaskets, any suggestions are appreciated.

I just installed a set but used HD gaskets (not SE). No leaks.

How do you tell if it's leaking? I have the power duals too.

This is pretty common. Most people throw the V&H gaskets in the garbage and go with HD. That's what my parts guy recommended and I've had no issues.
