Which of the following will significantly reduce the life of the battery in your Key Fob as pertains to where you normally keep your key fob in relation to your bike when NOT riding?

I went with away from bike, because that's where I happen to keep mine. Just my 2 cents.

One FOB was left 85 feet, 5 walls away and the other less than 40 feet, 3 walls away. The second was dead. Both had new batteries early last year. It got a new battery today.

Default FOB Batteries

I have started keep a new unwrapped battery in the tour pack just in case. Seems to be the easiest solution for me.

A TEST....dam I knew I should have stayed home studying instead of taking the bike out for a ride - umm, when in doubt choose D, especially when it's "all of the above"

I have no clue. I picked number 3, max range. but I don't know, it just makes sense. I'll await the verdict.

Some folks change fob batteries regularly every other year.
Some fob batteries die in a year or less on a regular basis.
Same 3v lithium battery.
Hmm...
