Default Hand switches don't work

Changed out the handlebars and now nothing. FLHTK,put 2" reach backs on and all was good except for my wrist were hurting, so got some Krome Werks and did the changeout. Now, both left and right switch housings don't work. Bike powers up, touch screen works but no turn signals, horn, starter, etc.

Not sure what to do next. Will check the wire cable as it comes out of the switch housing.

Any ideas?

I have disconnected the battery and see if it would reset, nothing.

what year bike?
Did you cur and extend the wires?
Did you run the wires internally?

It's a 2014. No wire extensions. Only internal wires are the heated grips.

Might've pinched a wire as it comes of the housing. Still checking.

Look for blown fuses. When you put the switch housings on, it is VERY easy to pinch a wire between the housing and the bars. If you find a blown fuse, remove the housings and see which wires were pinched - fix it- replace fuse - problem solved.

All is good, rah was spot on, must have pinched a wire. Found a blown fuse and fixed the wire. Now will have to take out for a test and see how the new bars feel.

Good for you. Now to help others let it be known which wire was pinched and where so this can be avoided by others.

Not sure which wire was pinched/cut through. (Clutch side) Looked at all four and picked the flattest one, cut and spliced and did no work, so picked the next flat wire and same outcome. So, cut all wires and spliced, now they work.
If you are changing out your bars, make sure the wires/harness is up into the indentation of the bars. To be on the safe side, re check before tightening, it will save lots of frustration.

We get a steady trickle of similar threads following handlebar changes, especially with extended wires. It's a simple matter of taking the greatest care with every small task along the way. Well done for sorting it out.

One of the places to watch and use caution are the control/grip housings where they clamp onto your bars. I found a spot on the Right grip/side where the outer plastic was pinched between the two shells. If you don't pay attn...this can cause problems. Otherwise, enjoy the project as it's a great method of enhancing riding comfort.
