How much can you buy all of those gaskets and hardware for? It actually doesn't sound that bad to me. It's a lot of money, but I think I spent half that on gaskets rebuilding my transmission and primary on the Road King.

Covers? Lifters? It may be really high. I haven't done a cam change. I know I can't afford it, lol.

I was just informed by a fellow member that the lifters being used by Harley in 2011/12 had issues. Slow to pump up and whatnot. Sounds like a good investment while I'm in there.

Thanks to the member who sent me that informative link!

Everyone recommends changing the lifters during a cam swap. I changed mine out when I did mine. I used the Chevy 350 lifters. From Jeg's they were around $60. I bought the rocker box gaskets on eBay $33. Inner bearing, cam chain shoes, tappet cover gaskets, and cam cover gasket, eBay $40. I went to the dealer and got the breather filters for $30. You're talking $160 for that stuff plus the cost of the cams. They don't seem to be too far off. IMO.

I am running the 555 Torqsters in my '08 RG. Since I was already in the camchest, I went ahead and changed out the cam plate and oil pump (SE combo), cam chain tensioners (Redshift), lifters (S&S), and adjustable pushrods (S&S).

I am also running a similar setup in my '13 RK (with the exception of 625 cams). I would contact TR for better pricing. You might also check directcycleparts.com. If you contact DCP, I recommend calling and asking for Steve and ask for the T-Man 555 Torqsters. They don't have them listed on their website.

Hope this helps...

11293 Oil Pump scavenge port o-ring 1.08
