Default Bike Died and Won't Start

Here we go again......

2005 FHLTCI. New battery 6 months ago. At a stop light in the commute on the way home. Lay into the throttle, bike dies, maybe a little pop.

Pulled into a parking lot nearby. ALL systems seem to work except starter and fuel. I hear a single click when turning ignition to on but NOTHING when hitting the starter button. No fuel pump. No starter solenoid, etc.

Was going to start with EFI Relay and Fuses.....

Start with the basics...clean battery terminals, tighten and check battery voltage. Check battery cable connections at both ends

OK. Will start there. Forgot to mention one of the leads from the little nubbies directly under the starter was off....not sure what that was exactly but when I reconnected my neutral light came back on.

Not sure that has anything to do with it.

Todd,
Sounds like one of your neutral switch leads was off.

Charge the battery and see if it holds a charge. 12.7 and above is fully charged, 12.6 75%, 12.3 50%, 12.0 25% and 11.8 0%. Take it to a parts store and have them do a load test. If the battery is bad you should test the charging system.

Right. I checked the connections and everything was fine.

I'll take the battery out and put it on charge overnight. Battery is less than 6 months old. Everything else on the bike works.

Charged battery. Rechecked battery connections on both ends and got nothing. Thought I may have heard the fuel pump kick over in one of five tries.

Do you have a volt meter that you can hook up to the battery and see what happens when you hit the start button?
A bad battery can show 12+ Volts after being charged but drop significantly when a load is applied.

Checked Diagnostic codes and in P got the no rsP. I tore open the side cover and 15A fuses look good. Relay was plugged in.

Noticed Power Commander V is not lighting for Power or Status.

I may try that in a few. Either way shouldn't the Power Commander light up if Ignition and Run switch are both on?
