Mine crapped out a few years ago just like yours. Barely made a sound. Replaced it with a stock horn, works great!

My horn broke as well. I just use my middle finger.

Mini-beast for me as well. I like loud when it comes to bike horns! This reminds me of the old Army duece and a half!

Thanks for all the tips everyone. After loosening the mounting nut for the horn it works fine. Tighten it back up and sounds like crap. There's no tuning screw on it just the mounting bolt that comes out the side. Can't ride with a loose horn so I'll have to mess with it to see if I can get it right.

When you tighten down the horn,it is probably binding the rusted inner plate which vibrates to give you the sound.Take horn off and soak internals with WD40 overnight ,blow out and reinstall. If that doesn't do the trick, buy a new horn, its not worth the hassle.

Thanks GTK. I'll do that tonight and see if it works tomorrow.

Manual says to only torque to 110 inch lbs or you can damage horn, cause injury and death. The sound will turn into a chirping baby humming bird pissed off.

Greetings from So-Fla,

Same thing happened to me. Did you recently get caught in a huge rainstorm? That is what killed mine, either that, or it was just died at a coincidental moment.

Anyways, HD makes an updated horn that comes standard on 2014+, which is 5-7DB louder than the OEM one that comes on ours.

I purchased it for about $50 and it fits just like the old one, under the OEM cowbell. Sounds nice and loud.

Good Luck. Ride Safe and Ride Often. Rubber Side Down.

Nothing I tried was able to get the horn working. Took Juan the humans advice and got the newer louder horn they are putting on the 14 and up bikes. Sounds better and a little louder. Thanks guys.
