Default Cam install items to order help please

Got a set of Woods TW555 cams to install in my 2013 and I need to get everything else I need on order to knock this out. I am not interested in doing heads or pistons and cylinders at this time. I know, higher compression means more power. Is what it is. That is what the cam needs to shine...I don't care about that.

2013 stock 103 46k miles
Woods TW555 cams

I need pushrods and tubes and am getting S&S 0928-0023
http://www.dragspecialties.com/produ...umber=09280023
I need inner cam bearings ( I assume B168)
These hydraulic cam plates do not utilize cam bearings in the cam plate if I remember correctly?
What do you recommend for cam chain tensioner shoes. I'm going to replace them since i will be in there. No I have not opened it up yet and will not until I have all the parts.

What else am I going to need? Gaskets for oil pump etc?

Thank you for the help.

You probably don't need to change the tensioners, I checked mine at 48K & left them in with about 25% wear on the outer & less on the inner. I did heads & freshened the top end this spring at 102K outer was about 60%, inner about 40% worn. I replaced them with new shoes from Cyco, they make replacements for both the old style & the new style, you use the original hydro tensioner body & just replace the the nylon-poly shoe. HD complete assemblies are about $70 each, the Cyco shoes are $25-30 for the pair. Cyco also manufactures all types of HD gaskets at about 1/2 the cost of MOCO's. You should also replace your lifters, Comp Cams 850-1 are a good reasonably priced lifter, made in the good old USA. The inner cam bearings are available from HD, a pair of SE full compliment bearings are about $16, you can source them elsewhere for a couple $ less. Those things plus a cam cover gasket, lifter cover gaskets & PR tube o-rings, if they didn't come with your S&S tubes. Occasionally you will need a different cam spacer shim, HD sells a kit with 5 or 6 shims, you wil only need 1 if any, if you have a HD dealer nearby you can measure & just get the 1 that you might need. Just use your shop manual & you shouldn't have any problems.

O-rings for oil pump. Be careful when installing the one that's the same as the top push rod tube o-rings, might want to change all them too, but they should be fine. The scavage o-ring on oil pump most be replaced. After I sheared that o-ring learned on here how to do it

You'll want a HD Service & Repair Manual... and a In/Lb Torque Wrench.

I replaced the two O-Rings on the Support Plate.
Oil Pump Tube O-Ring.
Cam Cover Gasket.
B-138 Koyo Inner Cam Bearings.
Lifters
Clutch Spring due to gained Torque from Cam.

Woods lifters are supposed to be some of the best. If you call Fulsac they will be able to put a kit together for you. You will also need bolt cutters and a bearing removal/installation tool.

Drew, I have the inner cam bearing puller/installer if you need one, just pay shipping both ways. And you're right about the outer bearings, there isn't any.

I would suggest these for your pushrods:
http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...hrods-18404-08

And I would suggest these for your lifters:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cca-850-1

I was very satisfied with both, and have used them not only on my bike, but two other friend's bikes also - with great success.

Also, I ordered the Fuel Moto gasket set as well as my inner torrington bearings from them.

This is what I ordered and used, it worked out with no issues. The cams of your chose of course. The 14s have oil suction O-rings are tan in color, I don't know if ther diferant than the black ones but I used tan. I bought the S&S gasket and bearing kit and only used the gasket, I didn't like the bearings, you could pick a gasket up separately from HD. What ever tuner you have you could go ahead and speak to them about a base map with the cams, if it auto tunes I recommend that, save on the dyno tune and get a cheap dyno at a rally for the numbers. This is all speculative and only what I think.

Get the H-D cam sprocket shim kit, you most likely will need it to make sure the cam and crank sprockets run true. Will need a straight edge and feeler gauges. I believe you need .010 or less between the 2 sprockets. Should also get the tool that holds the 2 sprockets for tightening the cam bolt, makes things way easier.

Get the Baisley oil pressure by pass spring to up your oil pressure. Helps keep it oiled AND quiets the valve train.
